format n gage

On the N-Gage and other Series 60 1.2 devices from Nokia it is; at least on my N-Gage and 3650 it asks for a lock code and then reformats the phone.

hi everybody.ı cant format my ngage too.i tried *#7370# *#7780# .but nothing happen after i write code and phone restarts.
c: didnt formatted.
(note when i try to delete a folder in c: it says disk corrupted)
what can i do plz help?

Use the code *#7370# to format your ngage... U will need to enter lock code then,

At least on older/original N-Gage firmware it is (as it is on the 7650 and 3650) a format.

Guys,

Here is how to format your n-gage.
I am sure you must have tried doing *#7370# with no luck. Well dont worry, here is how to proceed:

1. Almost 100% chance that you have a directory as C:\system\fonts. This directory needs to be removed.
2. Download this zip file.
3. Install the font remover sis application in above zip file to your n-gage. Remember this step is a must to succeed ahead.
4. Execute the font remover application, once its execution is done, the application will ask you to reboot n-gage. Dont do it now.
5. Ok, now type in the sequence *#7370# and your phone should be formatted now.
6. As par as I have searched around this font directory and its content has been found to be the culprit.

hope you can help me ppl
i inserted a memory card from my 6600 in my n-gage(not qd)
it asked me to pass all the info there..and the phone restarted.
result: error in starting phone..message "contact your retailer"
ant chance i can reinstall the original software without resorting to cables?

Hi, i think there is a some problem.. in formatting n-gage qd. I mean n-gage qd cannot directly formatted by the *#7370# code because of some problem.. if you use *#7370# code to format n-gage.. phone restarts and nothing happen.. the softwares on c: remains untouched and the thing which is change is only brithness of the screen.. but after I long time spends on this formatting problem. I finally foung the way to format n-gage qd completly without any problem.
