As a newbie to 9300 I can tell you I'm getting pretty exasperated at Nokia PC Suite! I owned a 9210 once and I do recall this was one reason I got rid of it. I assumed Nokia would have got their act together by now. I have v6.4 from the supplied CD and have been trying unsuccessfully for days now to download 6.6 as appranetly this is the answer to my dreams. No joy I'm afraid - the PC Suite section of Nokia's webswite just does not make sense - there is a section where you can upgrade (I would do that as I have 6.4 installed), or download - neither seems to allow me to do either! I have Windows XP, spent hours ensuring I had the Windows SP1&2 updates present - still no joy! Why oh why is it so complicated with Nokia (as compared to Palm and/or Activesync?). Don't get me wrong, as an ex Psion user I really prefer the interface of Symbian and I want it to work, but there just has to be an easy answer! Hopefully, some kind soul can tell me what I'm doing wrong. If not, I may have to contact Nokia themselves!
PC Suite 6.6 Download Problem
Don't see any major complexity/difficulties in downloading it myself:
1: Go to http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
2: Choose "Download" from the choices on the left
3: Choose "No, I know my phone my phone and PC are compatible with version 6.6..." from the blue "Step-by-Step Download" box (the other option is "Yes, help me out", if you want to pick the phone model from a list of phones first).
4: Hit "Continue"
5: Select the language you want (or keep it at the default of "English"😉
6: Press the orange "Download" button & the downloading starts (or you get to choose between "Run", "Save" or "Cancel"😉
Nokia have introduced new web-pages and sometimes you may experience download problems also depending on the browser you use ? What do you use ?
Thanks for those replies. Seems the answer was I didn't have flash player installed to XP - hes preto 6.6 has worked a treat since!
