Anyone think it's time for another forum/sub forum update?
Series 60 could do with a rework (again) I feel. Obvious ones are the N70/90/91, the N90 is due for release very soon, about time we included it?
Also things like the Samsung D-700 which is dead I feel should be removed.
Any other suggestions?....Let me have them 😊
My feeling with so many S60 devices now that maybe could be sorted by OS and similar devices.
Series 60 New Devices (N70, N90, N91)
Series 60 Software
Series 60 v.1.0 (7650, 3650, Sendo X, etc)
Series 60 v.2.0 (6600, 7610, etc)
Series 60 Multimedia
Series 60 2.0 Themes
Only an Idea, so please Pull apart, suggest better Ideas, etc

I like this idea!, simplify as much as possible, means it's less cluttered, although there is one obvious draw back to this idea. I large majority of people won't know what version of UI their phone uses, but this can be worked around I guess.
Going on from this suggestion, Series 60 Announced/Unreleased might be a better title. Only thing is, would we then move posts from the "New" forum to the say "Series 60 v.3.0 after the device release?
As time moves on there will be more and more S60 phones especially, IMO we can't just continue to add device after device to the S60 forum, in a few years there would be 30-50 sub forums all for seperate devices, I know this was discussed sometime ago but I think more needs to be done.

I think it might get too confusing if we put things in software version categories, unless people could still see the sub-forums for each phone. Remember some people haven't got a clue which version of S60 or UIQ xyz phone uses.
Just wanted to say I saw this message and agree. Forum software getting upgraded soon so a good time to do it. It think the idea of version specific forums that phones get retired too once they're no longer very active is good. The problem with version specific for everything is it could get quite busy, and you lose some of the specifity for certain phones (and of course very few people will know excactly what version of Series 60 they run (1.0, 2.0, 2.6, 3.0 etc.) - could be a nightmare to moderate with shifting topics all the time.

Good, good, good, except that there also needs to be a category for Series 60 Feature pack 2/Symbian OS 8 devices like the 6630/6680, which are quite different in many ways.
As long as we clearly put a device list in brackets after each forum name, users shouldn't get confused. And they might even learn something about the interface/OS used in their device 8-)

I just created a N70/90/91 forum and i'll start moving all existing post on these devices to that forum.
