Hi all,
Can anyone help me with my email problem? It connects 3 times a day fine, but when I open an email with the flip open, I can't work out how to return to the previous screen so I can scroll down to read the next email.
I know I am doing something wrong, I just don't know what....
Thanks,
Steve King
Well on mine, at the bottom of the screen there are two tabs (one is the email, the other is the recipient/sender details). Then there is a button marked Reply and then the last is a curly arrow - the "back" or "return" icon. Hit the arrow. Or do you not have this option?
Hi RB14,
No tabs on mine. The whole screen is blank, save for the email text. I know the buttons you mean, as I have them when viewing SMS, but not for email.
It is an Orange branded P910i - could that be the difference?
I have an Orange branded 910....and I have the "tabs" and I can see my email (I don't mean to boast!)
I think you need to shut down the app. and restart it (Sman will do the job http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/reviews/review2.php?id=73). Failing that (I don't know how to reset a P910 yet) backing it up on a PC shuts down and restarts the apps.....that might work.
How do you reset a P910? It's so stable I've not had to find out as yet (My old Palm reseted very 2 days, my "work" IPAQ needs reset 3 times a day!!)

Hi Dave9999 - thanks for your post. I was just about to hassle Orange thinking it was a bug in their branding. It all works fine with the flip closed, but not with it open (go figure!). I have backed up/restarted without sucess, but I will give your link a try. If it works I will post here so others know.
If I haven't posted that its fixed, any other answers will be greatfully received!

First off - I don't know what language UI you have, so the headings might be a bit off but I think I can pull this one off anyway 😉
1) Open up the control panel
2) go to "connections" (the middle tab)
3) open "message accounts" (where you set all the e-mail account parameters)
4) choose "edit" on the account you get the blank screen on
5) go to "inbox" (should be second tab) and make sure that "open in full screen mode" (or something to that effect) isn't ticked in
Hope that solves your dilemma.

Mr Allinger Sir - much respect!
I just knew I'd screwed something up!
Thanks for putting me straight.
Steve
Blimey.....I'd not thought of that....sorry!
