Does anyone know how can I delete the disturbing font named Eon14.gdr? It is stored in Communicator\System\Fonts. This gdr file produces many self reboots once I take of the battery or when I Reboot via Task Manager.
Thanks

I had that self same problem, the only way I managed it was by trying for a solid hour of rebooting the phone and attempting to delete it, failing, hitting the phone, rebooting again and repeating the above process.

On one attempt it strangely worked.

I too had the same problem when trying to delete the font to reinstall OPL.sis. The font also prevented a complete software backup to the PC and I always had to skip it. Until I saw this on the RMR Software site FAQ

When removing OPL.sis the font file used by OPL (\System\Fonts\Eon14.gdr) may cause the removal to fail since it is in use. If you have installed OPL.sis on the MMC card (D\ drive) it is recommended that you remove the MMC from your Nokia 9210 Communicator and then reboot the device WITHOUT the MMC in it. When fully booted, re-insert the MMC and use File Manager to delete D\System\Fonts\Eon14.gdr.

I took out the MMC. Rebooted and reinserted it once the machine was switched on. Then deleted it with file manager. It worked! It may not for you but it's worth a try User posted image

Thank you, guys. Unfortunately Eon14.gdr is somehow stored on the C (Communicator) drive, not on the MMC. for the moment, I thought I could avoid to re-format C User posted image

change the name of "fonts" into "fonts_", and then delete the xx.gdr, it should work, good luck~~~
