Cant delete MMS

When travelling in the Europe recently, my wife sent me MMS messages from back home in Ireland. As these weren't supported by the network, I now have these messages showing up in my Inbox folder with just a "?" icon and the name of the sender. I can't open these messages - each time I try, it just quits the messaging application and returns to the standard screen. I can even mark these messages and then delte them either. They remain on the phone, which in itself, would no be too annoying, but every time I turn the phone on it tells me I have two new messages etc.

Has anyone else run into this problems and does anyone know how to get rid of these messages.

Thanks

Thanks

Have you tried selecting the message and pressing C? Sometimes works when other methods fail.
