The latest newsitem gives us a "hint" that 4.xx firmware release has been released.
Anyone knows any news about that? A friend, in an Italian forum, says 4.36 is "flashed" on VodafoneLive! 7650 handsets.
Please, whoever knows about this, TALK!!! 8)
I announced V4.14 about 2 months ago!
When you say Vodafone is flashing firmware can you explain a little better?, I had a firmware upgrade last week and I got V3.16, I think it depends on where you take your phone and which country your in.
You probably won't have any luck with Nokia, they seem to keep quiet on all previous attempts by me.
The latest I know of is V4.24
4.xx has been in testing for about 2 months. You can expect it to start being seen on new phone and when you take a phone in for upgrading shortly.

How do you upgrade your phones firmware? Does it cost anything?
You go to a Nokia Service Center and upgrade it! Its free as long as your warranty is valid!

I am sure those who have 4.xx dont know either! You just dont get this information from NOKIA so easy!
God I hope it makes the phone more stable. Still have lockup issues with GPRS and mail/wap access. : (

What firmware are you using?
nokia austria told me that a new firmware - didn't want to say a version number - should be out next week - so we should be able to visit them and get some upgrades again. when i asked for the current version they said it's 3.16 - so the new version should be above 3.16... 😊
I'm guessing that will be V4.14, or higher!

A friend of mine just got a new 7650 on Voda and its 4.36! COuldn't find any changes anywhere on the phone though but I didn't get long to play with it!
Called my local NSC this morning but they only have 3.16 which is what I already have... 😞

4.36 is out with new unit? ... better ask local Nokia center here too and I hope they got it.
