need help! in unlocking my mmc

Hello, I have a Nokia 6230 with a locked MMC card (I got a replacement phone from Cingular, but my old MMC card no longer works in the new phone, both are 6230's)

I have read online that it is possible to get the MMC password using Seleq or FExplorer. However, my 6230 does not support these applications, and I don't know anyone with a Symbian phone.

Would anyone on this forum be kind enough to be willing to unlock my MMC card using their symbian phone?

If you are willing, I will mail you my MMC card (using regular mail) with an addressed return envelope. It won't cost you anything except a little time and I would be extremely grateful.

The instructions for getting getting the password are:
1: Use any efile manager like SELEQ 1.65
2: Open SELEQ 1.65 and go to Root C:
3: Options and FIND, write MMCSTORE press OK
4: Send this file by Bluetooth or Infraread to your PC
5: Rename the file MMCSTORE to MMCSTORE.TXT
6: Open the file and the password off the MMC are there

Again, I would be extremely grateful if someone was willing to do this favor for me, and really don't want to have to buy a new MMC card (or lose my data on the card).

Respond to this Thread or email me at [email protected] if you are interested,

Thank you

The mmcstore file exists only in phone memory on the Symbian OS/Series 60 based phone where the MMC was password protected originally. Other types of phones may do things differently. So, if it wasn't locked in a Series 60 phone, or the specific Series 60 phone where it was locked isn't around, there's no mmcstore file to find.
