Cant I download the firmware and install my self?
If I go to my local Nokia dealer and get an upgrade the phone will be flushed - how can I backup my contacts and i.ex. mms and gprs settings?

Use nokia fone manager to do a backup of ur phone..then take it to the shop..when u get back just restore the backup.
