Nokia 6630 Memory Problem

I've just purchased a Dual Voltage 512MB Kingston MMC card for my Nokia 6630 only to be dissapointed when trying to copy files over to the phone. I use the phone to play MP3 files and when I try and copy an mp3 file to the phone using the Nokia software I get the error 'Operation could not be completed' However when using the same method to copy to the phones internal memory this error does not occur.

I've tried the usual formatting the memory, turning off and on the phone, PC etc but to no avail. I had heard that there may be issues with the firmware version of the phone which may be causing issues, has anyone else had a similar problem. I'm using the firmware version 2.39.151 19-11-04 which I guess is fairly old, could this likely be my problem?

Thanks

Richard

That could be the problem, but it is difficult to be sure. (I haven't seen this problem before).

I would actually recommend getting a crad reader as it speeds up mp3 transfers, especially if you change them around on a semi-regular basis.

I use a 6680 and I have the same problem sometimes. Can be very frustrating. But I've found that if you have 2 explorer windows open on your pc, you can use one to locate the mp3's you want to copy. Then when you're going to paste them onto the memory card, if you only use the tree on the left of explorer (expanding to where you want to put them by using the +'s, it ends up being more stable. Don't know why.
