There's a recorder already on the phone in the media folder.
A minute is all it does.

Cheers,

Chris

You said "up to 1 minute"!

Must be a language thing.. 😊

Ok no worries.

But it is not free...

What is the point of the 1 min limit - why not just keep going until you run out of memory?

Also - on the videoing on the front camera - my limit is 32 secs and I have loads of free memory.

What's that all about?

Rick

I think if you record a video it is stored in your RAM (I'm not quite sure) and has to be moved to HD after recording it. This process can take very long.

About the voice recording limit I can only say that I think it is a strategy of Nokia to make you buy an alternative software.

in voice recording, press option and setting and change the memory in use to MMC, this you record as long as your MMC can save, Approx. upto 24hrs of ra 64mb MMC.
do the same when you are in video recording, you can record videos upto several hours and when you do the same in camera mode, you can take more than a hundred of pix... this is when using a 64mb MMC

I have the option of Memory Card or Phone Memory.

I have tried both and they still leave me with the 1 minute limit.

Pants ... that is ...

dlsw is right, u can save more photos and longer videos if you choose to store them in your memory card.. musto_skiff, there's something wrong with ur phone..

If I select
> Menu
> Office
> Recorder

THat gets me to the Voice Recoder.

If I then select options the settings I have a choice for "Memory in use" and the options are "Memory Card" or "Phone Memory"

I select either and the 1 minute limit is still there ...

I think this must be a regional difference in the sw.

true
voice recording ( default ) is only up 2 one minute...

when using..power dictaphone..when recording in wav...i've noticed..that everything is fine when you pust loction for saving Phone Memory..but u can only record cca 5mb ( 300 s )..but when u set it..to MMC..then..recording ( in wav ) is all fast forwarded..and not quality..
what's up with this?

I've tried this on my 6680 (UK Vodafone) and it makes no difference - is this really a regional difference as suggested below? Can you let us know if your phone is OEM or network, and from which network/region.

Thanks,

Ian.
