Soft screen

8 replies · 2,564 views · Started 25 August 2005

I have had the phone a couple of weeks and the screen is already quite scratched.

Is the screen a bit softer than others or is it just me?

I have ordered some screen savers but seems too late now.

Any tips on removing the scratches, is it possible?

Rick

I saw some kind of glue to polish your screen and fill the scratches

<<HERE>>

Sorry it is in german. I didn't find another one. The pictures will show you how it works.

I left my protective film on til it was all dog-eared then ordered a Martin Fields Overlay protector which is excellent (and rewashable).

I think it's more prone to scratches cos of the big surface area although there is a lot of give when pressed.

I missed the other link ... brought it direct and paid double ... oh well. ...

I'll be happy if it is any good. I will let you all know.

I am such a nob I am almost too embarressed to post this but it funny ...

Turns out that the screen that was getting scratched was actually the thin film that is placed on the screen when the phone is new ... I spotted it trying to apply a screen saver ...

Oh well - at least I have a nice clean screen now ... and a set of savers and polish I don't yet need ...

Numpty ...

You will, as it doesn't stay that nice...

Sure enough I have now scratched it ... the paste scratch remover dosn't work.

The screen savers mask the scratches but are not great - I brough some cheap ones off eBay and have now ordered a Martin Fields version.

Why do they make the screens so soft?

You can get a 5 Casio watch with a bullet proof face - so why not use the same stuff on a mobile; the volumes must be there ...
