Hey not sure if this is right place to post this but i could not really find any other place to so here it goes.....i've been searching through this forum and stuff as i am new and i've noticed few topics on symbian and microsoft os. I am interested in buying a PDA i'm thinking of going for Qtek 2020i, but would like some advice. Is it a microsoft based device and if it is should i have that or stick to symbian. Currenty i have a nokia 6630. What are the disadvantages/advantages of having symbian rather than microsoft. 😊

That's a slightly controversial question. The Gtek series of smartphone run Windows Mobile.

The advantages of Symbian / Series 60... well personally I think the Symbian smartphone are better as phones (i.e. for talking / messaging functionality). I think the ethis behind Symbian is better because its puts the phone in smartphone first because it recognises that what the phone is used for as a primary activity. I just think the user experience is better because it has been designed without any preconceptions (i.e.. no need to have a Start Menu).

Windows Mobile used to be some way behind, though many would argues Windows Mobile 5 will close this gap to some extent. I also don't think the build quality of the phones (HTC made) are as good as the Nokia's. There aren't many 3G WM phones either.
