Connecting notebook to DIGI GPRS internet using Nokia 9500 with DKU-2 usb cable

Hi,

I know this sounds old but has anyone successfully use the Communicator 9500 to connect the notebook to the DIGI GPRS network to surf the internet.

I may sound stupid but haven't came across any documentation on this. I do came across settings for other phones but the steps doesn't look suitable for this.

What I did was:
1. Install PC Suite.

2. When I connect the Nokia DKU-2 to the Communicator 9500 via the usb port, Windows will automatically detect the phone and install the necessary drivers, including the Nokia modem.

3. Was able to view the modem on the Windows XP control panel-->system--> hardware-->device manager. (I remembered came across instruction to install the modem manually but I don't think it applies here since the modem install automatically).

4. Managed to Query the modem using the windows modem diagnosic.

5. Created a link on the Windows Network connections (like creating normal dialup to analog modem).

6. Point the link created in step 5 to the Communicator modem. Digi web site setup: dialup number:*99#, userid and pwd both left blank.

7. When dialing the modem, the connection shows:
i. Verifying username and password
ii. Registering your computer on the network
iii. but then display "Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was terminated'

What did I miss out here? Can anyone help me?

Thanks.
