I have a Windows-based PDA that I have used to send text messages. I also send text messages to mobile phones being used in Russia/Ukraine from my desktop PC running WinXP. The cyrillic messages that I send get corrupted in the overseas transfer. I don't know if it is the Hotmail servers, the device operating system I am using, the phone servers here in USA, or the general internet servers... Somewhere there is that Win1251/KOI8 conflict arising and garbling my message to the phone devices overseas.
My question is whether the Nokia 6681, or a similar Symbian-based phone create the same problem in sending text messages from a USA-based phone system to Russia/Ukraine? And, is there a program to conveniently switch the Nokia 6681 input from English to Cyrillic?
