Hey guys, just bought a nokia 3230, and pretty pissed of with some of the shortcomings of this phone...
I dont mind the other ones but this is really irritating....When I'm talking to somebody else and someone else calls up,there is no beep,telling me that a person is waiting...whats the f**king point of call waiting if it doesnt tell you that someone is calling....
Is this a problem with my phone alone or do all you guys have it too?
Can this be rectified,should i change my firmware?? the version i have is 3.0505.2 19-2-05...
I dont mind the other shortcomings....beep before ring tone,slow camera,and tough keypad,bad mp3 player...
P.S:have to guys noticed that samsung d500's display is atleast twice as bright as 3230's??
Have you turned it on/activated it in menu > Tools > Settings > Call > Call waiting?
yeah obviously....it wouldnt work if didnt turn it on.....the person trying to call call me would get a busy tone..

i don't have this problem at all; my 3230 beeps when someone else calls... i'm running 3.0512

i have the same problem with my Nokia 6600. have you found a solution to the problem yet?? pls share if you have...

better get ur phone checked ..... i dont have any such problem on my 3230. m using V 3.0505.2 19-02-05 RM - 51
Electric blue, i am facing the same problem of call waiting not being heard in Nokia 3230...did u get any solution ??? can anyone help?? also, how can i check the version of the firmware...pls respond..this problem is getting me frustrated with each passing day..
