How to delete sub-menu folders

Hi guys,

Anyone knows how to delete sub-folders in the phone's menu (using 6681). Basically I'm not talking about the directory structure of the phone memory nor memory card. I'm talking about the menu.

By default when you press the menu button, it will go to the menu that normally has folders like Connectivity, My Own, and Tool etc. I made a mistake by sending new folder to another folder. My tool folder is now in the My Own folder. I have since created another Tool folder in the main menu and moved all the original contents back. However I can't delete the Tool folder that's inside the My Own folder. When I try to delete it, it goes back to the main screen. I can't seem to send it back out to the main menu either... Help!!!

Thanks

Can you explain that again?
Did you move an existing system folder called Tools or a new folder?
I didn't think this was possible?

Only files can be moved in and out of folders, not folders themselves.
And only folders can be created at the root menu level.

You are right. There should only be folders in the root Menu but somehow I accidentally moved a Folder into another one. It worked. However I can't remove it now...

It's a bug. At one point I was trying to move an application right after its installation and the Menu hadn't updated to include the program. So somehow when I selected to move an application, it moved the folder install because at the same time the recently installed program just appeared in the menu.

I know it's a kind of bug but I'm looking for some registry/configuration editing to fix this problem.

it happened the same to me yesterday :P

you need to create a new folder with the same name in the menu and then move the files from the folder in the submenu to the new folder.. then delete the empty folder.
Its the only way imo :|
