Hi,
My 6600's database seems to have been corrupted :frown:
The "contacts" applet stucks on load in an empty screen (although strangely incoming calls are identified with name and pic), and the messaging applet lost all previous SMSs and e-mail messages and settings.
The messages are set to be saved in the phone's memory, btw, and I have about 2.5MB free of it.
Now, obviously I can:
1. Format the phone.
2. Load an old backup.
But I wonder if there's any other way to rectify this problem and fix the corrupted database? Is there any program or utility or something that can be done?
Thanks a lot in advance...
Do you mean the Contacts database or the Messaging database? They are two completely different ones.
You can test the health of the Contacts database. Download Contacts Manager+ 1.10 and use the Compact database command. Then use the Export contacts command to test the database response.
Well, as I was saying, I'm having problems with both functions (contacts applet stucks, SMSs and e-mails lost), be they seperate databases or not.
It is something that happened between yesterday and today. The phone's OS crashed once or twice during that period, maybe this caused both DBases to corrupt?!?
Is there any free 3rd party or original Nokia utility to check up the databases?
