Contact resolution on Orange 6630

Has anyone on Orange noticed that incoming UK phone numbers now seem to be missing the country code? Since I've had a Series 60 phone for a few years I lonng ago added +44 at the beginning of all my contacts so they'd show who the caller was. I noticed on Monday when my wife rang that her phone number displayed as 07989xxxxxx rather than +447989xxxxxx and didn't resolve to her name.

I though it might be due to her network rather than Orange but my landline is showing up in the same way.

Aargh! This means I'm going to have to re-edit all of my contacts again to remove the +44. That means they'll no longer work when I go abroad.

Hi,

Can you not add a second mobile to each contact in the 07xxx format?

Or will that still leave it unresolved because the number is technically duplicated?

Still a pain in the arse either way!

Cheers,

Chris

Nokia phones used to match only the last 6-8 digits, so whether the number was in national or international format was irrelevant. I have all my numbers stored in +44 format and have yet to notice an incoming call that did not correctly display the callers name.
