If you had previously installed any Bluetooth software please uninstall it before proceeding.
The following list is of software that should be uninstalled, but it is not a complete list!
 Any previous Widcomm software
 Any previous Soleil software
 Sony Bluespace software
 XTNDConnect Blue Manager software
 Microsoft Patch Q323183
Any drivers that were supplied with your Bluetooth device
Microsoft IntelliType and IntelliPoint software for Bluetooth mice & Keyboards.

Now REBOOT / RESTART your system

Installation:
Extract the files from the bcu-btw4-0-1-700.zip zip file into a folder.
Extract the btwusb.inf file from the btwusb.rar file and use it to replace the btwusb.inf file in the folder where the 'bcu-btw4-0-1-700' package was extracted.
Now go to the folder where the 'bcu-btw4-0-1-700' archive was extracted and run the setup.exe file..let program do what it needs to do.
You may or may not be asked to plugin your device, DO NOT plugin your device.

Now REBOOT / RESTART your system

Once your system is fully booted-up, restart your system, but this time press the F8 after the BIOS screen has gone and go into Safe mode.

Safe mode: Once your in Safe mode, extract the files from bluetooth_patches.rar and use them to replace the following:

BTTray and BTStackserver in C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software
BTNeighborhood.dll and wbtapi.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32

Now REBOOT / RESTART your system

Bluetooth installation: Once your system has restarted, plugin your Bluetooth device, your device should be detected and the widcomm drivers should be installed for your device. If you are not lucky the Windows drivers will be installed.

To check which drivers the PC has installed:
Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device manager
and find your device, click properties > driver and see the manufacturer information etc version should be 4.0.1.700 Widcomm.

If windows has Installed the microsoft drivers do the following:
Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device manager
Find anything bluetooth apart from the top two listed in bluetooth devices (things like bluetooth network and COMS) and uninstall them, leaving the two at the top.

Click on the top one, should be something like "generic bluetooth device", click update driver > manual search > choose selected
> have disk > navigate to where you extracted the 'bcu-btw4-0-1-700' package then click OK

You should find your device in the list box, click install let it do its thing. Restart if needed.

The Widcomm icon should now be in your task bar and be white and blue.

Connecting: Go to My Computer > My Bluetooth Places > Bluetooth Setup Wizard ( in the My Tasks panel on the left).

Once you have launched the Bluetooth Setup Wizard;
Select the first option using the radio buttons and click Next. First option should read I know the service I want to use and I want to find a Bluetooth device that provides that service

In the second screen select Bluetooth Serial port and activate the Sendo Xs Bluetooth and set visibility to shown to all. Click Next.

Make sure the search option in set to Show all devices and let the Wizard find the Sendo X.

Once the Sendo X is found, select it and click Next.

Tick the Start the connection box and click Finish.

mRouter 2.2 (version provided with PC Connect): Open the mRouter console and tick all the Bluetooth connections. You should now have your Sendo X connected to your PC via Bluetooth.

Sendo X: To configure the Sendo X go to the last section of this post for the settings.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sendo X: Creating a GPRS access point. You all probably know how to do this, but if you dont: go to Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points. Click Options > New Access Point > Use default Settings.

Connection name: Whatever you want
Data bearer: GPRS
Access point name: Whatever you want
User name: None
Prompt Password: No
Password: Leave Blank
Authentication: Any
Gateway IP Address: Anything except 0.0.0.0
Homepage: Whatever you want
Connection security: Any
Session Mode: Any

Make sure bluetooth is activated on the X. Now you are good to go. Open Opera on the Sendo X and go to a webpage, say google.com. If the page loads then excellent and congratulations you have configured crappy Windows to share your internet connection.

For those of you who had problems connecting to PC Connect via bluetooth....this should solve your problems.

doesnt works here, i have connectivity between mrouter and sendo x, but my phone doenst makes any connection when i try the gprs acces point.

edit: can't recieve any phones or messages, nor cant phone ayone or send a message myself :frown:

ok, let's try to fix this :frown:

storme - u can try changing the GPRS settings on the X........maybe .... if ur running WinXP...click start start > run > type 'cmd' > in the DOS prompt type 'ipconfig' hit enter........and try the Default gateway IP that you are shown .

and oh yeah.......make sure u have bluetooth activated on the X.

storme - u may have to reformat your X since u've installed the gnubox application....i had tryed gnubox before but it didnt work.

"thrue my music here ".......wot do u mean by that??

well, u know, thrue the loudspeakers of my stereo the "tetetet .. tetet ... tetetet ... etetet" sound 😉

Anyway, i can backup my messages ? what file should i backup not to loose my SMS messages ?

Just use PC Connect to backup ur data.
When u do reformat ur X........i recomend that u reformat it 3 times

U can use the usb data cable to back ur data........wot problem are u exactly having........is the mRouter icon showing a diconnection?
I need more detail to help u quickly

Well, yesterday I installed the gnubox, and since then i cant make any phone calls nor send any sms messages. I can't recieve them either.

Anyway, I will try to reset.

Oh i see.......well u can simply backup via the USB data cable or backup to a memory card if u have one.

My instructions will not cause any problems since all u are doing is adding a access point, the rest is done by mRouters tcp/ip support.

thank you for taking the time to do this, Bhrij, there are many out there that appreciate it and hope this will get them going. great job!

It's working great on all my phones, but one thing to note - If you have previously set up a default connection, or told the phone to dial GPRS without asking for confirmation, then you'll keep getting interupted.

You need the phone to NOT try making any GPRS connections.

If this guide does not enable you to share your internet connection please do give feedback in this thread. I may be able to sort out problems.

I am unable to get pages loaded up in Opera on my Sendo X. I have connectivity b/w Sendo X and mRouter. I can sync fine. But when I open Opera and type an address it prompts me for which conenction to use. I choose my computer conenction and then nothing happens. It doesnt show if its tyring to connect nor does it give any timeout error. I have got a Bluesoleil software and PAN profile is started and DHCP is enabled.
Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for all your help.

The problem seems to be the Bluesoleil software. Download and install the widcomm software and u'll be fine.
And another thing........have u setup the access point on the X as stated in the tutorial?

Can I use Widcomm software for my Bluesoleil dongle?
Yes, I have setup the AP as stated in the tutorial but I don't know what to put for the gateway IP address.

BTW from where do I download Widcomm drivers, none of the links in the first post are working.
