Sometimes, when I boot my phone, an icon in the shape of a house sometimes appears, usually when I've had to reboot due to a problem.
The icon appears up where the 'New Text Message' or 'New Voice Message' appears.
Any ideas what this is about?

May it be not a house but an opened lock?
If it is, I don�t know why or what is it, but I see it sometimes..
Is it an Open Envelope? Do you have any SMS messages stored on your SIM card?
I get it each time I boot, I'm guessing it just shows that the phone has passed a system check before settling down. It is definately a house. Exact same place as the key-lock icon would go.
Try turning on your phone side, pressing the "hang-up" button when your startup screen shows and you should see it then. I think if you leave the startup screen, the icon dissappears before the screen does.
