Restoring 6630 backup to 6680

I have a full backup from my old 6630. I had to switch to 6680 (I washed my 6630....grmf...), but now it seems impossible to restore the .nfb file created from 6630. Does anyone have any solution for such case....pretty important....?

The usual procedure in these cases is to accept that bits of the internal disk won't be restored as-is. But then there are some vital system differences (e.g. screen related).

I'd:
1)Sync, to restore all your PIM data
2)Reinstall any apps that you'd installed to internal memory, re-enter reg codes, etc.
3)Copy over again any PC documents/bits and pieces that you had in internal memory.

Most of your important images/videos and most of your apps should be on memory card, anyway, or did this get ruined in the wash as well? (Memo to others: make sure you occasionally backup your memory card using a card reader!!)
