I can't remember where I read it from, but there's a company out there developing GPS (Global Positioning System) for Smartphones. The application allows you to download detailed maps and your position.
Anyone else heard anything on this? And if so, could you provide the link for it again. Cheers in advance.
All you need is search the 7650 forum for GPS, trust me 😉
It must be TomTom. As in the P800 there was the same kind of software in the CD bundle, That was mentioned in the review at www.mobile-review.com
Here is a site that is making something GPS on 7650

From the site:
"Map Assistant uses the Crux II GPS receiver from Emtac which is communicating with the mobile phone via Bluetooth. Put the GPS- receiver in your pocket or backpack, connect with your mobile phone and you are positioned with an accuracy of 5 meters."
Sounds quite cool 😃
Crux II GPS receiver price seems to be around $300 though :-?
(quick look with google)
Wow,300$.It would be nice if everything was cheap. Why not make everything cheap? 😃

Is it available for Australia yet? If so, I'm willing to spend up to $500USD for it (considering I just brought a VDO GPS system for my BMW at $1800USD)
the crux II BTGPS should be available, but the software is not ready yet
look here for that GPS: http://www.emtac.com/
