7650 Image Catalogue problem — Nokia 7650 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hi,

Slight problem. When i take pics from the 7650 it stores the date/time for the picture. When i transfer the file via ir (send-ir) or through the Nokia PC Suite the image date/time of creation gets changed the date/time i transfered the file on the comp.

Now this causes a major problem. I can't sort images based on when i clicked them. When i sort them then it sorts them based on the time they were transfered. I just tried out ACDSee 5.0 for image cataloguing. great software but the same problem again. I looked at the comments it displayed for each file. The comments hold the information listed below

This has the correct date/time.

Any idea how i can have the files have the same infromation maintained for its creation date as the when i took picture?

Try to send the pictures without PC Suite directly from your phone! That might work!

i had tried sending them directly with the IR. No PC Suite but still the same problem. The creation date on the PC is the same as the file transfer date not the file creation date of the phone

That is a windows problem, because the file is created in windows it gets
its creation date from it. You must change the date by hand or maybe in
Acdsee 4 you can do it automatically from picture metadata?
