Hello, first post here, and out of desperation!! has anyone else experienced their 6630 extremely slow 😡 when scrolling through the menu's or trying to open an application?
(maybe the Nokia workers were on the p*ss the morning they put my phone together!!)

I have appforge installed and I wondered if anyone can give me some suggestions -

cheers

You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on.

Have you installed too many applications or a theme using too much RAM? This could be a reason. Too many background apps running?

hold down the menu button to see what applications are still open, pressing the hang up button does not close programs it just hides them, that keeps them in the ram and slows the phone down, u have to click on exit for it to close

You could try and install TaskSpy (freeware) and check what programs are stealing most CPU power.... A N6630 is not super zippy but yours seems slower than the average!

More info and download of TaskSpy: http://www.pushl.com/taskspy/

In addition to the 'something must be running in RAM that's hogging memory and/or processor' suggestions above, do please note that AppForge Booster really is the spawn of the devil. If you've got any sense, get rid of it at the earliest opportunity. Yes, OPL, Python, etc are all runtimes in the same way, but they're not nearly as hungry or restrictive as AppForge.

Thanks to all for the good info. I installed taskspy and I have deleted some of the previously installed themes and now It doesn't lock up as frequently.

cheers
