how can I delete emails from inbox?

Hello,

I got 3230 few days ago. Set up the Email account and started receive Emails 30-40 a day including spams.
I was happy. Now there is big problem. The phone doesn't allow me to delete any message without deleting these from server too!!! Is my unit faulty or software authors just don't couldn't imagine that some people may take Email seriously.

Well, there is important data on my pop3 server, which I can't delete.
How could I empty just my phone mail inbox? When I choose delete phone only, then all these hundred headers are still there and actually nothing is deleted (except some occasional mail body I guess).

Any good ideas?

i think this is normal. well at least thats how it works on my phone also. the best solution would be to create a folder on your email server to move the emails you wish to keep so the inbox is left empty
