Hello,
From some phone reviews I have got the idea that many Nokia phones come with some elementary dictionary for automatic text input.
My Nokia 3230 doesn't seem to have any word in the dictionary.
Is it normal 😊?
Can I use for excample some SlovoEd dictionary?
Or some good freeware one
Hi,
I have searched in the web and read the 3230 manual. I haven't still got the answer.
The manual says about predictive text input, how to enter the text but not a word about how to get and install dictionary. I assume that means that the English dictionary must be installed by default.
When I try to enter text and enter the first letter then it stops to the first character under button, it is I can't even print the next character of 3 under each key, without switching predictive dictionary off. When trying to look into dictionary match, then there are only some letters, but I can't pass ahead from the first character. I guess that it's because the dictionary is empty.
Considering all problems I have had with the new phone and time spent to learn it's capabilities, I wonder why manufacturers can't write the proper full manuals. The one that comes with phone covers some basic functions only, maybe 20% of phone capabilities. To learn the rest capabilities owner has to spend hundreds of hours searching in the internet!
Hi,
Well I find the dictionary. Thganks to google and
http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/mackay/itprnn/itap/
and
http://www.t9.com/
The dictionary was were it was expected to be, except that phone's manual was not explanatatory enough.
