:-? I have made a new database in contacts. and for some stupid reason contacts can not longer read the database. I can move or copy cards to it, but cannot access the database anymore. does anyone have the solution to this problem. i hate to data entry the database again .... and loose the data again..... thx![/b]

uh, well, yes! i have rebooted my communicator several times for several reasons. but this does not solve my "i cannot access the other database" problem. any other ideas?

I have been away but back now and still having the same ol'problem: I cannot access my other databases than Contacts. I have restored the other database(s) to the memory card and I can even copy or move from Contacts to the other database. BUT I cannot read/ access the information. Anyone?

THE file is contact.cdb in system so surch for it and restore your backup than you have your contacts back

but may be you have simple clicking on comminucator in contacts to see your contacts again

It is a little geotic i think but keep quiet and think over for you are doing any thing 😊

A while back, I successfully created multiple databases within contacts. However, for some reason, when people called me, The front screen stopped displaying the caller id's. I did seem to have no problem finding the data. I can no longer remember whether it was possible to synchronise each database separately with it's pair in Outlook on the PC. The caller id thing upset me so much that I went back to a single database.

One thing I never checked out was whether searching in a sub-database would be quicker because it contained less entries even though the contacts application had the same number overall.

Anybody in a position to comment?
