Dear all,

I'm using Nokia HS-36W BT headset, I discover that if any incoming call,
ringtone would just come out from 3230 body, but not bt headset, so that
I missed so many call if I was on the street. I'll very appreciate if anyone
can teach me how to redirect ringtone to bt headset.... =~~

Hi

Just want to check you have done the basics as once a bluetooth headset is paired and the phone knows of it all calls/audio is sent to the headset and should not come out the phones speaker, so:

1) Have you paired the devices, on my BT headset this requires a longer than normal press on the ON button to activate bluetooth detection, search with the phone and enter the pass key, see you manual but maybe 1234.

2) Once paired, from power off turn on the headset, turn on the phone bluetooth and press the hook button on the headset, the phone should come up with a message asking you to allow the BT headset to connect, accept (yes) and the phone and headset will connect.

If the headset had correctly connected you will see a new symble by the keylock position like a set of headphones and the bluetooth symble will be encased in ( ) This indicates connection is currently active, now you can try a few ring tones, anything and your headset should play them.

In the settings of the phone you will find auto answer and profile selection which can be set as desired, this leaves you free to wear the head set and wait for the phone to accept the call. To turn off the headset either turn its power off breaking the bluetooth connection or the phones bluetooth.

Really the pairing of the devices which causes most trouble, once you have them paired, connecting is very simple. However i should point out that ANYONE with a computer who has bluetooth and has enabled the auto connect will find there PC once its learnt your phone WILL steal the bluetooth connection most times 😉

So if like me you have GPS, BT headset and PC all using bluetooth it can get fun trying to know wha the phone is currently connected to 😉 lol.

Have fun and hope this helps

Duke.
