Hello.

i have a nokia 6680 and in the state here, my caller ID shows +1 infront of all my incoming calls...

is there a way to turn this off? very annoying and I can't find it.

Please help, thank you

this is your country's code. You can't turn it off. Is is something like +49, +91 or +33 depending on your country.
Why du you want to turn it off?

1. when receiving a phone call, the phone number shows +1972 xxx xxxx, how can I get rid of this +1 format? My caller ID never works because my address book doesn't have +1 infront of the numbers. I really hate to add +1 to them.
I don't travel outside U.S.... Is there a way to set my phone to U.S?

2. I know there is new firmware update for this phone, where in U.S can I get my firmware updated? Possible in Texas?
I heard that Nokia USA will not upgrade firmware if the phone is not purchased from U.S

Thanks

Its just like I said...
You have to rename all contacts...
I don't know why but for me the caller recognition works as well without a +49 in front of the contact's number.

I don't think so... Maybe you have to pay for it but they will do it.
