Two in one thread:

1) Is there a text editor for the sendo x? or just series 60 in general? I downloaded Yedit but it wont save because I need a code.. being a student I can't afford a code. So can anyone reccomend a free editor.. or maybe PM me with some other useful information 😉 😉

2) How do I change the tune for the alarm clock.. is it possible? I could of sworn i've done i before but I can't remember how. I think the alarm is great on this phone.. the snooze is perfectly timed etc... but after a while my brain gets used to the sound of the alarm so I gotta keep changing the tune, otherwise my brain will ignore it lol.

1) Use the built in Notes program

2) As far as I know, you can't change the tone.

I use the inbuilt notes program, but I need an easy way to transfer my notes to the computer, so i'd prefer the ability to save as txt..

If you beam a note to your computer, it will be received as a text file. It also works in the other direction: beam a text file from your computer to your X and it'll appear in the Notes list.

Ok, all you have to do is to use a theme based on Curves (like Spiro, Surfer and Silver blu bip).

(If you want to know more about editing the theme look here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/38963/)

1. Unsis the theme on your pc
2. Open the rsc file
3. Change the 3 strings:
z:\system\data\sounds\qau_wav_almalert_clock_default.wav
in
c:\system\data\sounds\qau_wav_almalert_clock_default.wav
4. Now save your new alarm file in: c:\system\data\sounds\
and rename it in: qau_wav_almalert_clock_default.wav (PCM, 44100 Hz, mono, 16 bit per sample)
5. Install the theme (the original one) and overwrite the rsc file with the one that you have modified

That's it! All you have to do is to change the theme and try the alarm!

PLEASE NOTICE: I've never tested this thing on my phone, it's only a supposition. If you want to try it please make a backup of the memory before!!
