I have come up with an incredibly easy way of making screenshots of your skins. Using this method I got screenshots of all my new skins in the time it usually takes to take one!

Here's the method

Step 1. Make a screen.
Set the background of the right panel to plain and make a plain (1 colour, not black or white, I used bright green) background for your phone and apply it.

Step 2. Take a screenshot.
Now take a screenshot of the Desk, and then use imagin to save it as BMP format, NOT JPEG! Copy this to your PC.

Step 3. Make a Virtual "Screen".
Make a new file in your art package (I use Paint Shop Pro, Loonyworld uses Photoshop). Give it a white background and create a new layer on top of it.
Open your screenshot and check that the background is a solid colour (my nokia changed it a little), and then make the right panel the same colour as the background. Now the challenging bit, set the background colour to transparent, and then copy the image. Paste it keeping the transparency into the top layer of the new image you made.
Now the first image should be of your screenshot with a plain white background for both the background and white panel. Now save this in a format that likes layers.

Part 4. The "Screenshot"
Now using the above image as a template, take your background image and place it where the background will go, and place the image for the right panel, under the right panel. You should now be ready to take a "screenshot". User posted image
Simply enough, for those that haven't guessed what is coming... Choose "save as" and save the image on screen as a .jpg and your "screenshot" is taken. Simply clear the background layer and put your next images in to take all your screenshots.

This simple time saving tip was brought to you by Flipside, who when he told Loonyworld, laughed as Loony started counting up the time wasted taking screenshots on the phone. User posted image

P.s. Rafe, feel free to use this in the extended manual project, or as a tutorial on the site.[ This Message was edited by Flipside on 2002-01-12 0058 ]
