DVD's onto P910i - Advice?

Hi Folks,

Just trying out a demo version of Smartmovie for my P910i, and have converted a couple of files, but noticed that the file sizes were a lot larger than I was expecting them to be after conversion.

I've converted a 6 min file into avi format and although it reduced it from its original file size down to new size of 21mb, I wondered if and when I got round to converting a full lenght feature film - its gonna be a vary large file indeed!

Any ideas , tips, advice on perhaps getting the files sizes to reduce , or what size of file will a full length film be?

cheers,

Also - does anyone know the best way to cope a DVD onto your hard disk 0 ready then to use with Smartmovie converter?

Update: Manged to copy a DVD onto the hard disk last night.

Tried it with The Matrix. Had to open PowerDVD, play the film, pause it right at the beginning ( so the files are open to access ) and then used a package called DVDx which then copies/converts the film on the pc's hard disk.

So, next stage is then to use Smart Movie converter to reduce the file size and then load it onto my Memory Card.

THe whole process is very lenghty. It took about 10hrs to copy the film to my hard disk. It will then take another few hours for SmartMovie to convert into avi format, and then it will prob take a while to download to the phone. Not something you can do spontaneously!
