When I moved to my 9500 from a 6600, one of the first things I did was to buy Profimail without even trying the builtin app, having been put off by screenshots of the paned view. I now regret that; while Profimail's a must on S60, there are more annoyances than pluses on the Commie. While throwing out the S60 style guide was necessary on S60 to come up with a decent power emailer, the non-standard interface is vexxing me on S80. Equally, using its own message store rather than the built in one stops it integrating with Powerdesk, as is its use of it's own html engine for email links rsther than the gorgeous built in Opera.

I reckon I can replicate most of the functionality I like with a combination of automail (cheers Steve!) and server side scripting. If I use procmail to move all the messages where I want to download bodiesto their own folder, then set up a seperate 9500 account subscribed to that folder only I'll get the rules functionality, automail provides the timed downloads, et voila; a working setup.

Any commets before I consign Profimail tothe bit bucket?
