:frown:
Got a problem with my 9500, for some reason it will not connect to my email using my wireless network.
I can surf the web no problem....
when selecting go online or send email I get the following mail
Problem Connecting
System:
Connection timed out
is it a config problem (its the same as my outlook) or should I look at getting a half decent email package ? :icon4:

If you are connecting via Web, then it will be something to do with settings.
I have had this happen many times and the converse - able to connect to email and timed out on web.
NOrmally I have found it is because I have forgotten to change the Mail Account Settings, and left it assigned to the wrong Internet Access option, or to the wrong Default Account.
Typically I have left Mail assigned to GPRS and forgotten to change it back to one of my WiFi settings.
It might be worth checking that first.
When I click on go Online or try to send mail It asks how I would like to connect which I then select my router, and a msg screen then displays saying Establishing network connection....then getting connection timed out ?

You have to set up a Wireless LAN on the PC and a LAN setting by the same name on the 9500, and if you use security which you should, then the WEP Key must match on both machines, otherwise they will not talk to each other. If they are connecting I assume that this is OK.
Also you have to specify in your connection settings on the PC that you allow other computers to connect via this connection. It is under the Properties tab I think. If this is not right, then the LANs will connect, but not dial out, and you get this message.
Or the dial out is too slow and the 9500 gives this message before the PC can make the connection. That can happen too.
Have you ever succeeded in connecting via WiFi or have you always had this message?
I have the same problem really and it is down to my phones email settings having a different server to that which my PC's ISP will allow me access to. My phones SMTP server is set up to be one that my phones SP will accept (Orange) and my PC's SMTP server is set up to be an NTL one. As NTL won't allow me to connect to another server, when I try to connect my phone through my wifi connection it won't allow me to. I can still recieve as this is service provider independant. You could always create two email acount settings on your phone, one each with a different server.
I hope that helps.
