did u receive an error msg?

This is what u have to do:

Corrupted MMC fix

Necessary tools:
- Corrupted MMC
- 7tools partition manager (get it from: geocities.com/rulirahm/symbian/7tools.zip, the demo version is capable of carrying out this task)
- Pair of hands
- little brain but not necessary

lets do it

Part one
========================================

Put your MMC into your card reader, select the MMC

If your partition is corrupted you will see several invalid partions in red in the left hand pane (MMC drive section)

Right click each of these and left click delete.

Click apply (top left button)

You should be left with a single free unit on your MMC drive. Now right click that unit and select create primary partition. Go with the defaults which should be FAT16 and click on apply.

========================================

Exit and put your card back into your N-Gage. If you find that the MMC card still does not mount via the USB cable (That is if it was mounting prior to corruption). Unplug the cable and put your MMC card back into your card reader.

Part two
========================================

Start the 7tools and select the MMC again.

In the right hand pain you will see a column that says Active (it will probably be set to "no"😉 click this and set it to yes (That take a few MB of your MMC but it makes it an active bootable drive partition), click apply

Put the MMC back into your N-Gage and format it via tools-memory-[options]-format mem card.

You will notice that the card is a couple of MB down on it original size but it will now be fully bootable and functional via the USB cable again.

========================================

Keep in mind:
If u formatting MMC card trough windows u could fuck it up if you format in any other partition than FAT, no other partitions like NTFS, FAT32, dont work!

Thats it, astalavista bay

Hope this help

Mee too. MCFixer is corrupt. There is no way to solve ur problem except u buy card reader or take it to the nokia center. Trust me, it will work if u get a new card reader and fix the corrupted mmc instructions that I gave to u.

thanks m8, i gave my memory card to a friend who has a card reader, he gunna do it for me, should get it back at the weekend and ill let u kno how it goes 😃

Thanks for everyones help, one more thing, why did it corrupt anyway lol, i was sending a song through bluetooth, and while it was doing it i got a txt and when i went to open the txt it happened 😮 😮 😮

Thanks alot peepz :icon14: :icon14:

Usually, MMC will be corrupt if we format it using windows. Txt file? Thought that u was sending MP3 files to ur phone, why that u receive txt file? Virus in ur computer?

I've got my MMC corrupted for the first time when finished format it under windows. First, format the MMC with FAT32. Then run scandisk and told me that my mmc is bad sector. Then format again using fat, the bad is gone. After that, everytime try to connect the USB data cable, to my PC (XP SP2), new drives didn't show. Try it with another pc, same problem. Take it to 'Nokia' they can't fix it. One week I've been walking/searching in my city to solve my problem. Almost want to sell my phone. Really damn problem. Last, I try to explore and search the internet/forums, they give me the solutions. Here is the forums that give me how to fix it. Corrupted MMC Fix Should be useful to others if same problem with me. :icon14:

rulirahm wrote:Oh, I think that u receive a msg from ur pc(bluetooth). Are u using MsvDriveE app ?

yeah, is that a program that sends ur messages to ur memory ard, if so yea im using it

whats even worse now i cant play sof (soldier of fortune) my computer is nackerd lol, sent it off to be fixed, ill be on my mums now lol, slow ass shit

Ok, if one of all recomended solutions posted didn't make ur phone working, there nothing u can do unless u take ur phone to nokia centre.
