Help w/ Nokia SU-8W Keyboard

1 replies · 2,283 views · Started 27 September 2005

Just purchased a Nokia SU-8W Keyboard for my Nokia 6260 phone. I am trying to connect for the first time with no luck. The directions indicate that I need to enter a password (of my choosing) to pair the keyboard to the phone. When prompted to enter the code first to the phone, then to the keyboard I get a "Failed to Connect" error.

Why wont this work?

Have you already installed the keyboard driver module from the supplied memory card or from the web (http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,67023,00.html)? Install it in phone memory (if you are going to use some other memory card(s)).

After that, turn on Bluetooth on the phone.

Turn on the keyboard.

On the phone start the keyboard app and press Options > Find keyboards.

Select the keyboard.

Enter a Bluetooth passcode (choose a few numbers) on the phone.

Then type the same numbers on the keyboard (directly, don't press "Fn"😉 and press Enter.
