I ahev the exact opposite problem.

i ahev a kingston 512mb dv rsmmc. My cardreader reads it fine & writes to it fine. But when its in my 6630 I cant write to it 😞 no installing sis nothing!

One way to solve this problem is to Format the Memory card in the phone and name it something different to what you had before ie: MemCard, Mem, Memory.
Then you should be able to have complete access to it in a card reader and it won't be write protected.
