Probelm when charging 6260

I have had my phone for about a month and a half and have begun to have a problem when charging:

When I connect phone to wall charger, it makes the sound to let you know its connected, and begins charging, but the LED does not come on anymore, and the screen is still on while the phone is closed.

Does anyone know why this would be happening? [I have not dropped the phone, and there are no other problems so far]

thanks, Jason

Try to see whether the LED is working properly. And how do you know the screen is on when the phone is closed.

When the phone is closed I can see the light shining through openings in the phone. How exactly do you check the LED? Do I need to take the cover off the top of the clamshell or remove the tab off that covers the led?

On the 6260 the LED is on the outer cover (other side of the display next to the "NOKIA" label). It lights up when the phone is charging. If it doesn't, the phone, the battery or the charger is broken.

My phone is jacked. I am sending it back for a replacement. Now LCD is "fuzzy" and discolored, and un-readable. Very fustrating. Hope the new one performs better.
