firmare reset when format? — Nokia N-Gage and N-Gage QD

i have v 04. 10 firmare version on my qd. and i am thinking of formatting it because of
some errors and a lot of useless stuff i have put in it! if i do this, will i have my firmare version (installed at a nokia center) reset? i hope not

Hi.Formatting doesnt change firmware,try reset either soft(*#7780#) or hard (*#7370#) itll ax for code type 12345 that will erase ALL data stored i.e yo phne wil b as u bought it.Gd lk.

well whats the difference between soft formatt and hard formatt? and what does *#7370# do?

*#7780# Soft is soft 😊 it wont delete installed applications,just resets lot like timers,background...blah blah! *7370# Hard is hard (ahem,xcuse my lame jokes!)itll delete EVERFING that isnt on original phone,thus all software apps,contacts ON Phoe memory(note that with both the memory card isnt disturbed)r deletd.If the new firmware is deleted,i doubt it,bt fr confirmation consult a real tech,its advice-they wont charge u!Hehe.Once again,good luck and dont install too many useles apps or if u shd dump them on mmc.Love,(if u're male,u didnt read that last part!Hehe)
