Can't read MMC card

5 replies · 2,417 views · Started 04 October 2005

Hi

I have Nokia 6680 which I have been really pleased with, but suddenly today it has stopped reading the MMC card. As far as I know I have done nothing different, but all the applications I had installed are no longer visible and the device says no memory card present.

Does anyone know what may have caused this and how I can fix it?

Thanks

it's always the same story.

You need a MMC card reader, a PC.
Then run a program like scandisk, or Norton disk doctor (or similar programs, you know) over your MMC ... and try correcting errors found by that program, if you can.

(well ... previous post edit cut by netfront, so ...)
btw those cards are formatted using FAT16 or FAT32, so almost every OS should be able to manage 'em. Unless the card is gone ...

with this system if you have little errors, they won't be fixed.
