one question bout the J2me SDK that on the website

it says that i need win NT or 2k environment

but can i still use the SDK to develop games in my Win ME ????

or do i need any additional software to run it ???

i've tried to download it but it doesn't work...

About your WAP site, I can access the site and everything, BUT I'm just not able to download any games?? 😞
It says something like my client isn't allowed to access the requested object... Any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Some settings I've missed perhaps? I just cannot figure out how to download JAVA midlets through WAP.... My provider is NetCom GSM(Norway), and I know they allow Java downloads up to 120Kb and I'm able to download midlets on my Siemens C55...

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!! 😃

That is indeed wierd that error message 'client not allowed'. It's hosted ona normal server without any restrictions..i don't have that error, but a friend of mine does..
I'm on Vodafone in Holland. And i have NO idea why it would give that error. Only difference i know is that im running os 3.16 and that friend of mine has 3.12. what's your version?

Again I have no clue why it would give errors to some...

I have 3.12 as well.... But an even wierder thing happends now. I've fooled around a bit with my settings and I am now able to download games from your wap site, BUT I cannot download anything over 30Kb!!!??
I've tried this on other wap sites as well, but the same thing happends every time, nothing over 30Kb.... 29Kb is the max size for an app I've been able to download. And again I know this is not a limit set by my operator, cause on my Siemens C55 I've downloaded games that's 40-60Kb...

Are you able to download games more than 30Kb's? This couldn't be a limitation in the 7650, could it?? Or maybe a limitation in firmware version 3.12?? :roll: :cry:

There is no limitation in the nokia 3.16 version. I've downloaded almost every big game from that site.
So we know it is something in the settings of the phone (for the client not allowed error) Can you tell me what setting you changed?

Is there anyone who CAN downlaod from that site without errors and who has OS 3.12?

im running 0s 3.12, didnt encounter any probs so far downloading.

Must be something in the settings or the provider.
Can you download nothing from that site or only the games or apps? can you download ringtones?

yup, i was able to download a couple of tones. i dont think it's an os problem as well.

well, its in my understanding that your GPRS provider should support SAR= segmentation and reassembly.. i figured this one out when i read about it in some midlet site.. im sorry, i forgot where though.. i remember it saying nokia phones require SAR protocol from a network to download bigger files.. hope this helps.. tnx 😊

but can we repost those games NOT for sale? there are some games or apps on that ASIA JAVA CHALLENGE that i think are shareware. " I THINK". 😊

all three zip-files of the games in this thread show 404-errors :cry:

is that a technical bug or is it due to legal issues???
