Cheers

Is there another place where we can download the demo version.
I want to buy it but first I want to test it before i buy it.

Is there another place to get this program

Thanx for the link...
I installed it on my phone.
Must the server at my work have VNC running or something else or can I login without running this software on the servers?

you need to have a vnc server running.

try http://www.realvnc.com for a free server.

it's pretty simple to setup.

Simple to setup? I don''t think so.
I will try it on my pc first then install it on the windows 2000 server at work.

Are there any bottle necks I must be aware of

if you're just going be using across a network all you need is to install the server on one machine, the client on the other, set your password on the server, run the client, enter the ip of the computer you want to connect to and bob's your uncle, up pops the desktop of the other computer.

(this is for the win32 version)

for the client version on a pc the display number is 0 but you don't need to specify this.

you can connect via http using port number 5800+display number so on a pc by default it would be http://hostname:5800/

if you type it into a web browser you'll get a java client to load. the same principal occurs with Active Viewer only you may also need extra proxy settings.

hope that helps, it is relatively painless. if you're going to be using it at work i'd be a little concerned about security (maybe) see http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/sshvnc.html

😉

btw: this would be a killer app if it worked over bt as well - which is possible.
