Can't connect with Opera or other 3rd party software

Hi!

I have a weird problem with WAP internet connection on my Nokia 6680. My mobile is configured for WAP acces, and my operator WAP acces service is active.

I can connect to web pages using the built in web browser (that under Menu -> Web). I enter the web page address, it requires an Access Point, I select the operator access point, and everything runs smoothly (I'm using www.yahoo.com to connect).

When I try Opera (with the same www.yahoo.com address), Netfront or Agile Messenger, any of these programs asks me to select an access point, like the built-in browser. I select the same AP, but they won't connect. I get the following error (in Opera): "http://www.yahoo.com - Connection closed by remote server". Regardless of using agile messenger, opera or netfront, I get an error.

Do these programs need extra configurations that I'm not aware? For example, on Opera's "Adding Acces Points" webpage, is the same configuration that I have on my operator's acceess point. There is nothing more.

I'm confused. How can I make these programs run?

Those apps need an Internet Access Point (IAP) and they will not work with a WAP Access Point.

So, get the IAP settings from your operator (and make sure your plan/subscription allows for its use).
