MMC password/format after phone format

10 replies · 34,192 views · Started 09 October 2005

I have tried searching the forum but, though i saw attempts at collecting the MMC password back from the phone, I did not see how I could either reset the MMC password after doing a hard format (*#7370#) or simply format the MMC and regain access to its functions (the files are not important).
If anyone has an idea that could help me out, please tell me. I was thinking about buying a card reader to format the card, but I'd like to know if its worth it.
Thank you in advance.

I think buying a PC card to reformat will work, but it may depened on the OS / card reader driver.

my mobile infected by SymbOS.Cardblock.A and my mmc card was blocked and when i try to open it tell me " enter Pass "
i try several way to crack it but ican`t
for example :
1- i install explorer in mobile and try to find mmcstore but i can`t
2- i try to restart my phone with *#3370# and " 3+*+call button " but i can`t
3- i try to read my mmc card with card reader in my pc but windows XP tell me that theres not any card in drive and i can not be formatted it with pc

please tell me how i can remove this password from my mmc card.
thx alot
EH

First of all, i'm sorry about my poor English. I'm Vietnamese.

This problem can be solved by this way :
1. You need a Nokia 9210.
2. You need an unlocked MMC (can be borrowed from your friend)
3. Put the unlocked MMC into the memory slot of Nokia 9210i.
4. Choose the command that will format the MMC (unlocked MMC)
5. When the fone ask you to confirm the format order, quickly remove the unlock MMC and put in the locked MMC which you want to unlock.
6. Press Ok.

If you're lucky, the locked MMC will be formatted and the password will be also break. Good luck !

ITS THE ONLY SOLUTION THAT SEEMS TO WORK, AS THE FILE MANAGER FILE RECOVERY METHOD FALLS FLAT ON ITS ARSE.

PS. THE PC CARD READER FORMAT DOESNT WORK

Did you try my method ? 🙄 I believe that it'll work, as I already successed. Remember, must be Nokia 9210, not 9210i, not card reader, nothing else... 😃

Hello,
A tool to reformat your corrupted MMC (or other removable media) to FAT16 format, which can then be used on your Cell Phone. All sizes of MMC from 16 MB to 1 GB are accepted, from within an easy-to-use user interface, removing the risk of accidentally formatting your hard drive. Note: After formatting your MMC with this tool, you may need to reformat the card within your Cell Phone afterwards.
You can download it from here: http://www.sitesled.com/members/aliadnan/mmcmedic.exe

I just used this method with 9210i and it worked. Thank you very much!

go to file explorer > search mmcstore >send it to PC via bluetooth> rename ot mmcstore.txt.> open it > and password is revealed.
