N3230 pc sync problem

I have a nokia 3230 and when i sync through outlook the time is incorrect. I live in New Zealand and we have daylight savings where we put our clocks forward an hour. If i put a reminder in outlook for 10am and then sync to my phone the reminder is at 9am. Does anyone know how this can be fixed??

It means you use Nokia PC Suite/PC Sync

I too am from NZ and have exactly the same problem were you able to resolve the synchronisation time issue with outlook and your 3230?

Have u meet all the requirements?

PC System Requirements for Version 6.6

* Available hard disk space: 250 MB (file size approx 25 MB)
* Operating system:
o Windows 2000 (service pack 3 or service pack 4)
o Windows XP (Professional or Home Edition) (service pack 1 or service pack 2)
* Connection methods: USB cable, infrared, or Bluetooth
* Supported Bluetooth software (Bluetooth stacks):
o IVT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack for Windows XP/2000 (driver version 1.6.1 with release version 05222 or newer must be used)
o Microsoft Windows XP Bluetooth
o Toshiba Bluetooth 3.0x
o WIDCOMM Bluetooth for Windows 1.4 and 3.0

Right-click the Bluetooth icon in the Windows tray and select Advanced Configuration. On the General tab you can see the version of the stack.

To see the cables and connection methods supported by your phone model, see Features Supported by Your Phone.

We had the exact same issue,

The problem was that Nokia left a huge feature out of their Phone/Sync software, which means that it cant CORRECTLY sync between the phone and outlook when the "automatically adjust daylight savings" checkbox is ticked.

What you have to do to fix this is:

1) Disconnect your phone from the PC, double click on the clock in the taskbar on the machine you are trying to sync with, and in the time zone tab, untick "automatically adjust daylight savings" and set the correct time.
2) Make sure that your phone deletes appointments after 3 months, then set the time forward by over three months, eg 16/11/2005. This will delete all apointments from your phone, apart from the reccuring ones, you will have to delete these manually.
3) Once all appointments are deleted from your phone, set the clock/date back to the correct time, and make sure they are the same on the phone as on the PC.
4) Reconnect phone to PC, and sync.

You will have to MANUALLY adjust time for daylight savings from now on. I am really disappointed with nokia, I always thought they were better then this. Huge flaw and our company may never buy another nokia phone because of this.
