That terrible MAXI KEY!

5 replies · 3,621 views · Started 11 October 2005

Hi there,
i've set my cell to auto lock after a few minutes.
But i do not like that MAXI KEY that fills the whole desktop.
Browsing my Z: partition i found a folder called Autolock (Z:\System\Apps\Autlock) and also found the key picture which i called AutoLock.mbm.
Now, what to do to replace that .mbm with a transparent picture?
Can Paint Shop Pro create .mbm pictures?

Thanks in advance

Paint Shop Pro cannot create .mbm files, but the Symbian SDKs have tools for that. However, you can't replace anything on the Z-drive (it is read-only memory, ROM).

I don't think I understand your post. My 6630 displays no maxy key when it goes into screensaver mode. The standard screensaver is a line with date and time but you can replace it with nicer screensavers (some of them are even freeware)...

Now I understand.... you are talking about phone lock... the thing where you need to type a code to unlock the phone?
Sorry but I have never used that feature on my phone so I didn't know about this maxi key thing....
