Well the guy could be a SonyEricsson tester with a preproduction unit. You could ask for the phone IMEI and see if you get a reply....

More likely that it is a scam and a good opportunity to loose your money if you try to buy it. New models always pop up on eBay and other such sites immediately when they are announced, but of course most such "sellers" don't have a device (and they don't even have seen one in real life).

Preproduction units are the property of the manufacturer and they do track how many are made, whom they are handed out to and can also track down who's selling them.

thats 100% scum. pls stay away from those auctions.
especially if you see saying "contact me at this email.....@yahoo/hotmail.com " dont even bother to ask any questions. those are hacked accounts, which advertise new gadgets but have nothing to sell.

Also another snag:
UIQ 3 isn't quite finished yet. SE had hoped to release P950/P990 already this autumn,
but had to let delivery slip until the new much improved UIQ is ready.
