Upgraded Forum — Admin — All About Symbian Forum Archive

The forum software has now been upgraded to vBulletin 3.5.

I've also renewed the forum look to take advantage of these features (if you don't see the new look add ?styleid=14 to the end of the forum URL).

The biggest advantage for moderators are the new inline moderation features. (Have a look at a list of any topics, you should see a checkbox for each post and a drop down box offering various moderation options). But there are other things too (various bits of AJAX code e.g. Quick Reply without reloading the page).

I'm also open to suggestions as to add ins / plug ins / extensions we should have.

As ever any problems please let me know.

Next on my forum list (after a few site things) is reordering the forums and a bit of tidying up. Again open to suggestions. I know there has been a thread about this, which I will revisit.

New software looks good, and a forum tidy up would be next on the list for me also...don't think a great deals needs changing, just a few additions and perhaps merging of forums.

If you need any help moving posts etc let me know.

There is a quick reply box - at least I can see it. I'm using it right now - anyone else finding its not there?

Aha it's back now, though missing in the older scheme, which I kinda prefer.... lol. Is there any way to stop you needing to click an icon in a post to let you use the quick reply box, as that's not an issue in vBulletin at other boards I use.
