some 3gp vids i converted for ya!

*PLEASE NOTE* the settings i've been using work on newer phones (k750i ,the newer expensive nokias etc) . older phones possibly nokia 3650 or similar may have trouble because of the way the audio is encoded. from now on (13/11/05) i'll post versions for both so everyone should be able to use 'em. sorry if they haven't worked on your phone so far. i've only just realised the problem.

Hello,

I downloaded the Alicia Keys video (thanks for laughing at me) and it works on my computer...but when I sent it to my phone realplayer won't open it saying it's an unknown file type... help please?

hmm...sorry to hear that, i'm not sure why its done that as i encoded the file so that it WOULD play on all mobile phones(at least that what the settings on my converter said) it may just be a problem that realplayer has..possibly(although i thought ALL phones could play 3gp files). try one of the other vids to see if they work. what phone do you have? do you have a mate with a similar phone who could try it? (it works on my K750i).
If anyone else on this forum could try it on their phone and report back if it works it would be appreciated.

Yeah, I tried it again and it didn't work on my nokia 6600.

However, I did export it to an avi file using quicktime, then use smartmovie converter to make it playable in ... smartmovie ... at a size of 6.5mb 😉 It worked then.

I won't forget to mention that the version of itunes jacked my network for 2 days and I just found out about stuped mdnsresponder.exe grrr.....
